FIRST® - For the Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, is a series of fun and exciting extracurricular robotics programs for students in grades K-12. Our goal is to inspire and motivate students to succeed in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Teams of students build robots and then use them to compete in a series of challenging games. Each competition is a cross between a sporting event and a rock concert. Students apply school subjects and learn real-world career skills, all while having fun.  This year’s high school challenge is a game of Ultimate Frisbee and in the last 15 seconds 140 lb robots will ascend a jungle gym.
